Dr. Vishal joined IIFPT as Associate Professor in Aug. 2019 and is presently Heading LO, Bathinda as Incharge. He completed his B.Tech. and M.E. in Food Technology from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT), Nagpur University, Nagpur (Maharashtra) and Ph.D. from University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT), Kavayitri Bahinabai Choudhary North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), Jalgaon (Maharashtra).
Prior to his association with IIFPT, he worked as Assistant Professor and Head in the Department of Food Technology, UICT, KBCNMU, Jalgaon (Maharashtra) for thirteen years (April 2006- July 2019). He is also having industrial experiences of around 7 years in various Food Industries like BEC Foods (Food Technologist Production, (Bhilai, Chattisgarh), Sun-Sip Ltd. (Food Technologist-Junior Manager Production), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Lotus Chocolate Company Ltd. (Quality Control Executive,, near Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Sobisco Foods Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur (Maharashtra).
He has guided 58 M.Tech.students for research projects, published 49 research articles in National and International journals and presented paper in Texas (USA) and Singapore. He also has undergone several trainings in Institutes like (IIT Kharagpur, ICT Mumbai, IIM Indore, SVNIT Surat, NITTR Bhopal, CoEP Pune, HBTI Kanpur, Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya Jabalpur, Jai Nariyan Vyas University, Jodhpur etc.).
His area of research and teaching interest include Food Preservation, Food Processing, Food Quality and Safety, Food Formulation, Value Addition to Food Waste.
