Dr. S. Vignesh is an Associate Professor of Food Biotechnology Department at the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), Thanjavur, India. He received his Master and Doctoral degrees in Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu. He has published numerous research papers in peer reviewed journals and book chapters [Total cumulative impact factor - > 40; Citation > 500; h/ i10 index - 13/ 16]. He has guided more than 20 PG and 10 M.Phil students. He has also presented several papers in national and international conferences. He serves as reviewer in many international journals [Science of the Total environment (Elsevier); Frontiers in Environmental Science (Frontiers), etc]. He has organized a national level workshop/ conference. His specialization is food and environmental microbiology, quality control aspects, nanotechnology, biocorrosion studies, bioremediation/ biosorption studies, antibiotic/ heavy metal resistance, OCP and heavy metal studies.
