Yadav completed his B. Tech from CAE, PUSA, Bihar in 1990 and worked about a year in Government Polytechnic, Bhagalpur as a lecturer before joining M. Tech. Program in Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 1992. He worked as research associate in AIT after completion of M. Tech. in 1993 and engaged in developing control system for mushroom house. Later, he joined as a Research Supervisor in 1995 in the same institute and actively engaged in teaching and research in the areas of food process engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2004 from AIT and continued working there till 2007. He returned to India in 2007 and joined as an Assistant professor in college of Agricultural engineering, RAU, PUSA. Later he joined as Senior Scientist and Head in Department of Food Engineering, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT) in September 2010.
At present, he is teaching M.Tech and B.Tech (food processing) courses, supervising master?s and doctoral students research along with conducting many outreach activities for farmers, butchers and students for creating the awareness and technical know how about food processing.
His research focus is in the area of food processing such as process modeling, application of image analysis and design and development of technology for food processing industries.
