Dr. A. Amudhasurabi graduated his B.Sc in Agriculture and M.Sc in Agricultural Extension from Annamalai University. Consequently, he acquired his PhD degree in Food Technology. He perceived his Ph.D research from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Currently he is working as Professor and Head, Department of Technology Dissemination in the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. His research areas are on Techno-Economic Feasibility of Food Industries, Baseline Surveys for Project Implementation, Product Promotion and Market Forecasts and Case Studies on Socio-Economic Impacts of Food Business Ventures. He has got a wide publication of his research in both national and international peer received journals.
His profession is associated with technology dissemination to food industry, facilitating R&D industry tie-ups and cluster development programs for farmers and SHGs. Besides imparting basic training courses, he is also engaged in designing, development and implementation of specialized program; EDPs and Agribusiness Management programs to various levels of stakeholders. He has been facilitating institutional tie-ups and public private partnerships for organizing awareness programs, seminars and conferences for the benefit of the aspirants of career and business development in food processing.
